NEW WORD "SHELTER"

There is a shelter for refugees with children and people with special needs in Voloske village near Dnipro. This is the place where people get temporary shelter before evacuating further - to the West of Ukraine or abroad.

It’s organized by Andriy Pinchuk and Charity foundation “We help” in the kids center which is used for refugees needs. Such a shelter was created in 2014.

Now there are different people like: children without parents, from shelter, kids from family-type orphanages, adopted families, elderlies, families with children and people with special needs. All of them are from Kharkiv and it’s region, Mariupol, Volnovaha and other “hot spots” of our country. People are arriving all the time, it’s an endless process.

Charity foundation “Giving Joy” brought social kits, stationary, antistress colorings to the shelter. We witnessed the new people arriving, the way they’re accommodated, got acquainted with lady Nadia, who is the head of food storage, talked to people there and heard their stories.

After this we saw one more way to help the shelter, besides social kits and stationary - dry rations for the further trip. It means the personal kit for everyone who is evacuated on the organized buses to this center.

The kits contain:

An apple
Cookies
Sausage
Yoghurt
A bottle of water.

Today we bought 860 bottles of water for kids. this will be enough for a few days.
