Humanitarian aid from the United Nations Refugee Agency for the Pervomaiskyi local community

The Motion+ public organization together with the volunteer center and City Council of Pervomaiskyi, who take care of displaced persons in their local community, expressed gratitude to UNHCR Ukraine, the UN Refugee Agency in Ukraine, which provided them humanitarian aid via the Giving Joy foundation.

They made and extremely heartwarming video about receiving and delivering the aid. We do encourage you to take a look: you'll see the process of unpacking goods, "fitting" mattresses and blankets, and surely the sincere gratitude from all the recipients.

You can see for yourself how newcoming displaced persons are welcomed in shelters and receive the basic sets of personal hygiene products. Vanya, a boy from Kharkiv tells his story about how he left for this local community and got shelter in a preschool educational institution.

This institution's Director Iryna shows what items they received: mattresses, kitchenware, blankets, hygiene product sets. She is very thankful for this help and immediately distributes all these goods in the shelter.

A grandpa, who also lives in this kindergarten turned shelter, helped us to demonstrate mattress unpacking. His emotions are sincere delight and joy from a new soft and dense sleeping place. He even felt such an energy boost that decided to do his exercises right away.

A displaced woman from Balakliia (Izium area, Kharkiv region) told about their routines and help from the kindergarten employees as well as her delight about the mattresses. She joked that the local cooks did not allow them to lose weight.

That was an improvised excursion to this community's life. We'll post a separate video of distribution of the goods in the volunteer center of this town.

As a quick reminder, UNHCR Ukraine, the UN Refugee Agency in Ukraine, delivered such goods to Pervomaiskyi town in Kharkiv region with the help of the Giving Joy foundation:

* Kitchenware sets for cooking - 44 units
* Hygiene product sets - 32 units.
