DNIPRO'S HUMANITARIAN FRONT

The situation in Dnipro dramatically changed during just a few days. The number of displaced persons grows each day. A lot of people from the Eastern Ukraine move out from their homes and head to Dnipro. The city will become a transit location for them as they travel further to the western regions of the country or abroad.

The displaced person support centers, shelters, and everybody who helps them will work to their limit during this hard time. At the moment, the most urgent needs are food, hygiene products, drinking water, as well as free hands to perform sorting, packing, and delivery of the social sets of such goods.

The Foundation Director, Olga Shelest, has made a video at the humanitarian center for the displaced people. On behalf of the Giving Joy foundation, we delivered food rations, hygiene products, children animation products, and other goods there.

Olga says that people can get humanitarian aid, legal consultation, children animation at the specialized area in the center. The center helps around 300 families with children daily, which is about 1000 persons in total.

As of today, the number of people who need help is even bigger.

At these shelters, people can get temporary accommodation and aid from the displaced person support foundation. The next step for them is making a decision whether they will go to the Dnipro region, western regions of Ukraine, or abroad.
